I am a post-doctoral researcher in the Department of Electrical Engineering at the Technical University of Denmark (DTU), member of the Energy Analytics & Markets group (ELMA) at the Centre of Electric Power and Energy (CEE). I am being supported by the project 5s – Future Electricity Markets (FEMs) focusing on the design of Electricity Markets which will embed the uncertain nature of renewable energy supply and consumption into the core of the market mechanism.

My research interests are located in the intersection of Power Systems, Economics and Mathematics. I spend most of my time understanding and adapting various tools from Mechanism Design, Auction Theory and Operational Research in addressing challenges that appear in Electricity Markets heavy on renewable sources of energy. Some of the topics I have been working on the last few years:

  • Market design in power systems dominated with high shares of renewable sources of energy.
  • Demand response and consumer behaviour in smart grids with uncertain consumption.
  • Quantifying uncertainty in supply and demand and impact in trading in day-ahead and intraday markets.
