I am a post-doctoral researcher in the Department of Electrical Engineering at the Technical University of Denmark (DTU), member of the Energy Analytics & Markets group (ELMA) at the Centre of Electric Power and Energy (CEE). I am being supported by the project 5s – Future Electricity Markets (5s) focusing on the design of Electricity Markets which will embed the uncertain nature of renewable energy supply and consumption into the core of the market mechanism.

My research interests are located in the intersection of Power Systems, Economics and Mathematics. I draw inspiration from Mechanism Design, Game Theory and Operational Research in tackling challenges in power systems  due to the dominance of renewable generation and the emergence of the “prosumer”.

Some of the research topics that fascinate me:

  • Population dynamics, collective and individual behaviour for electricity market participants.
  • Market design in power systems dominated with high shares of renewable sources of energy.
  • Consumer behaviour in peer-to-peer energy trading environment with uncertain consumption and generation.
  • Quantifying uncertainty in supply and demand and impact in trading in different trading floors (from the financial market to real-time balancing).
